Arlington County
Selects HiSoftware Content Quality and
Accessibility Solutions

County in Virginia has selected AccVerify
DS2 2005, AccRepair DS2 2005 and
AccMonitor Compliance Server 2005 from
HiSoftware Company to assist Web masters
in managing their Section 508 compliance,

Under the terms of the agreement,
HiSoftware Company will provide an
enterprise license of its AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 software to
Arlington County for use by its
webmasters, application developers, and
Section 508 compliance experts. AccMonitor
Compliance Server 2005 is an automated
content quality and accessibility testing
solution for Web sites, or for use in
conjunction with intranet servers or file
servers. AccMonitor Compliance Server 2005
is a server solution that is designed to
run with no user interaction once
configured. AccMonitor Compliance Server
2005 can be scheduled to test Web sites
and transactional Web based applications
daily, weekly, or monthly. It also allows
users to log-on for “on demand” reports on
the accessibility status of their Web
pages.
Arlington Web
application developers will also be able
to utilize HiSoftware’s user-driven
interactive desktop solutions, AccVerify
and AccRepair to test and remediate their
projects for compliance with Section 508
and other content quality standards. These
solutions also include the AccVerify Link
Validation Utility, which assists with
quality and accessibility assurance by
scanning and analyzing Web content for
broken links, producing detailed reports
to help developers and quality assurance
professionals pinpoint and fix content,
interaction, and usability defects.
Section 508, an amendment to the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973, requires
electronic and information technology that
is used, developed, and procured by the
Federal government to be accessible to
