Indiana Selects HiSoftware Content
Quality and Accessibility Solutions

29, 2004 – HiSoftware Company, the

that Access Indiana, and Division of
Information Technology with the
support of Indiana Information
Technology Oversight Commission have
selected AccVerify, AccRepair and
AccMonitor Server from HiSoftware
Company to manage its Section 508
compliance, and content quality
initiatives. HiSoftware solutions
provide “out-of-the-box” testing and
reporting for Accessibility, Privacy,
Searchability and Usability standards,
empowering organizations to keep up
with ever-changing Web technologies
and standards. The software will be
used to evaluate, remediate and
monitor State of Indiana web sites and
Web applications for content quality
standards and conformance with
accessibility guidelines.
The State of Indiana joins a growing
list of state government agencies
turning to HiSoftware Company for
content quality and accessibility
compliance solutions, including
agencies within the States of New
Hampshire, Colorado, Florida, New
York, Minnesota, Kentucky, Vermont and

Under the terms of the agreement,
HiSoftware Company will provide an
enterprise license of its AccMonitor
Server software to Access Indiana. for
use by the state’s webmasters,
application developers, and Section
508 compliance experts. AccMonitor is
an automated content quality and
accessibility testing solution for Web
sites, or for use in conjunction with
intranet servers or file servers.
AccMonitor is a server solution that
is designed to run with no user
interaction once configured.
AccMonitor can be scheduled to crawl
Web sites daily, weekly, or monthly.
It also allows users to log-on for “on
demand” reports on the accessibility
status of their Web pages.
State of Indiana
Web application developers, within the
Division of Information Technology and
other state agencies, will also be
able to utilize HiSoftware’s
user-driven interactive desktop
solutions, AccVerify and AccRepair to
test and remediate their projects for
compliance with Section 508 and other
content quality standards. These
solutions also include the new
HiSoftware Link Validation Utility,
which assists with quality and
accessibility assurance by scanning
and analyzing web content for broken
links, producing detailed reports to
help developers and quality assurance
professionals pinpoint and fix
content, interaction, and usability
defects.
Section 508, an amendment to the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973, requires
electronic and information technology
that is used, developed, and procured
by the Federal government to be
accessible to people with
disabilities.
