State of New York-OMRDD Selects HiSoftware Content Quality Solutions

Concord, NH March 31, 2003 – HiSoftware Company announced today that the State of New York-Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities ("OMRDD") will use AccVerify, AccRepair and AccMonitor Server from HiSoftware Company to manage its content quality initiatives. The software will be used to evaluate, remediate and monitor  Web sites and Web applications for content quality standards.

The State of New York-OMRDD  joins a growing list of government agencies turning to HiSoftware Company for content quality and accessibility compliance solutions, including the U.S. Army Materiel Command, Internal Revenue Service, and Department of Defense. Under the terms of the agreement, HiSoftware Company will provide an enterprise license of its AccMonitor Server software to the State of New York-OMRDD for use by its Webmasters and application developers. AccMonitor is an automated content quality and accessibility testing solution for Web sites or for use in conjunction with intranet servers or file servers. AccMonitor is a server solution that is designed to run with no user interaction once configured. AccMonitor can be scheduled to crawl Web sites daily, weekly, or monthly. It also allows users to log-on for “on demand” reports on the accessibility status of their Web pages.

OMRDD Web application developers will also be able to utilize HiSoftware’s user-driven interactive desktop solutions, AccVerify and AccRepair to test and remediate their projects for compliance with Web content quality standards. These solutions also include the new HiSoftware Link Validation Utility, which assists with quality and accessibility assurance by scanning and analyzing web content for broken links, producing detailed reports to help developers and quality assurance professionals pinpoint and fix content, interaction, and usability defects.
